Nexus One, AT&T Bound?

It appears that Google is on the move again with the Nexus One. This time it seems as though there will be a Nexus One with AT&T 3G bands. This is great news for AT&T Android customers who have been lusting over the greatest Android handset to date. Hopefully this will come to AT&T soon; my guess is it will debut sometime in the summer shortly after the Verizon version is released this spring. If your savvy enough head over to FCC site and see what you can dig up but this is pretty solid information as it stands. If this is released this phone could possible land at AT&T, Rogers, Bell, or Telus. Or maybe this is the Europe bound version. Either way this is going to really help the sales of the Nexus One. Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Headed to T-Mobile Germany in April
It seems like forever since we started talking about the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. After months of of hype and anticipation, the sleek and sexy Android handset is finally getting some official release information. We’ve learned today that T-Mobile Germany will be offering the Xperia X10 starting in April with an undetermined price point. Only a few months beyond that rumored February launch! We’re anxiously awaiting the announcement for a US carrier. Last we heard, it could go either way with both AT&T and T-Mobile specs found within paperwork. We’ve spoken to quite a few people who have spent some time playing with one of these and they have nothing but glowing remarks for it. The only thing we’re remotely bothered by at this point is the Android 1.6 hiding underneath the user experience. Of course, that’s easily fixed with an OTA update. Nexus One with AT&T 3G support unearthed in FCC filing

For better of worse, plenty of people are hoping to see a version of the Nexus One that has support for AT&T’s 3G bands. I say for better or worse because I am not really sure anyone wants to see AT&T grab another powerful Internet capable smartphone, but that said the AT&T coverage (at least

Nexus One With AT&T 3G Bands Found in FCC Filing
Good news for all you AT&T subscribers who held out on getting a Nexus One because of the 3G incompatibility. It appears there is another version on the way! Check out the pictures below and you’ll see two different labels. The label to the right is what current Nexus One owners have while the left is the new variant. Obviously, the two are identical in form. Looking a bit deeper one finds more proof in the pudding. The two labels are only off by a single digit – Old filing was FCC ID NM8991 0 0 whereas the new one is NM8991 1 0. Snoop around in the RF reports and you’ll see support for 3G on WCDMA Bands I, II, and V. In plain English that means 3G for AT&T, Rogers, Bell, and Telus. Oh, and most of Europe too. Any AT&T customers out there excited over the news? Are you glad you held off?
